MOLO – The Museum of Loved Objects

Do you have objects in your life that have no specific value, yet are inherently lovable? An object that you just can’t seem to throw away because you know or suspect it has been deeply and truly loved? The Museum of Loved Objects (MOLO) is a curated temporary exhibit of objects that are, were, or are suspected to have been, loved.

The Museum of Loved Objects, curated by artists Kate Huston and Marla Goodman, is on exhibit with pop-up dates First Fridays June 5 – Sept 30 2026, as part of the RESIDENCE (con)Temporary Art Occupation (Year 2) exhibit located above Isle of Books, 43 E Broadway, Butte Montana. The exhibit is in a non-traditional 3rd story space with limited lighting.

MOLO features a lovingly curated collection of physical objects on loan from their submitters specifically for this exhibit, as well as photos and artistic renderings of beloved objects. Be sure to find the MOLO catalog binders and find the MOLO catalog audio tour in the exhibit that feature backstories for each object, and shop in the book store for your own copy to take home.

Thanks to all who submitted beloved objects, photos, artworks and stories:
